The first of two application windows opens Monday 3 May at 9am, until 25 June 2021, for Farming Connect training courses. Subsidised by up to 80% and with over 70 courses available under the themes ‘Business’, ‘Land’ and ‘Livestock’.
The business-related training, ranges from business development, marketing and financial management to agricultural health and safety, food safety and diversification.
The land-related training, ranges from tractor and ATV driving, machinery handling and chainsaw courses – to grazing management, woodland management, slurry handling and safe use of pesticides.
Livestock-related training, offers courses on a range of sector-specific animal health and welfare topics. Ranging from general husbandry, to biosecurity, breeding, nutrition and safe use of antibiotics.
The courses will take into account Covid safety and will either be online, or socially distanced.
Am I eligible?
You need to be registered with Farming Connect and have created a ‘personal development plan’ online. This will then allow you to complete the training application form. Check out this Business Wales training booklet for details on how to do all of this.
