Welsh Gov’s Latest Economic Resilience Fund Opens
Applications for the ERF cash grant fund for Welsh businesses opened 24 May and will close on 7 June at 5pm 2021.
The ERF will provide support in the form of cash grants for businesses, social enterprises, charities and associated supply chain businesses that have experienced a material negative impact as a result of ongoing Covid restrictions.
Grants aim to meet operating costs not including staff wages, for the period of 1 May up to 30 June 2021.
Eligible businesses with an annual turnover of £85,000 or more can apply through Business Wales as of today. Eligible businesses with a turnover of less than £85,000 need to apply via their local authority. The application form will be available from 31 May 2021.
Specifically, the ERF will support businesses that are either forced to remain closed by Covid regulations (between 1 May and 30 June 2021), those unable to open indoors between 1 May and 17 may 2021, venues catering for weddings and events with restriction of 30 guests and supply chain businesses generating 60% or more of sales revenue from the above businesses.
All of these businesses must also have experienced a material negative impact through 60% reduced turnover or more in May and June 2021 compared to previous year figures – caused by ongoing Covid restrictions.
Don’t apply if you have already received the recent round of Welsh Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund, Sports Wales Fund or Third Sector Fund to support your enterprise through to 30 September 2021.
