New Training & Grant Opportunity for Heritage Organisations
Welcome news for the heritage sector in Wales during the challenging Covid period, a new opportunity for heritage businesses and charities and those wanting to start one has arisen called Steps to Sustainability.
This new National Lottery Heritage Fund programme delivered by the Social Enterprise Academy involves training and financial support, with the aim being for organisations to become more forward-thinking and gain support to launch new projects. Building partnerships, learning commercial aspects of running a heritage organisation and using peers and sector experts are all part of the training.
What does the opportunity involve exactly?
The programme offers 8 days of activities over 6 months, to help organisations prepare for and build sustainability. There is a 9-month development/support stage and funding of up to £10,000 to help shape your business idea and resources/toolkits including a network of peers and leader experts.
Who can apply?
Small to medium heritage organisations based in Wales (and England and NI) and those who have an income-generating idea not yet fully formed needing the resources and support may apply.
