Start-up Grants for Social Enterprises

Start-up loans of up to £20k at zero interest and grants of up to £10k are available for Welsh charities and the deadline closes soon.

SE-Assist Wales Fund, delivered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), offers finance packages and mentoring to help charities and social enterprises grow, become sustainable and increase capacity. Last year the body awarded over £6m in grants.

This particular package for social enterprises and entrepreneurial charities, needs to meet a local social or environmental need to be successful. Those that win the grant will get blended finance packages comprising interest free loans of up to £20,000 (with potential for more at 6.5%) plus a grant of up to £10,000 alongside it. Thrown in are some optional mentoring support and networking opportunities.

How to apply

The SE-Assist Wales Fund is open to applicants until 23 July 2021, so you will need to act fast if you want to secure the chance of some funding and support. See more details at Business Wales.
