Further Support of up to £25k for Welsh Businesses

From £1k to £25k to cover July and August 2021 costs, for those that really need it.

If you are running a business in Wales that remains affected by current Covid restrictions, it may benefit you to know that the Welsh Government has just announced an emergency package of up to £25,000 for Welsh businesses to cover operating costs for July and August 2021.

This applies if you are either remaining closed due to Covid, or are open but severely impacted by continued restrictions. Those in hospitality, leisure and tourism trades (and their supply chains), such as travel agents and venues limited by social distancing, can look to this grant for support.

How much?

Eligible businesses are entitled to this additional payment of £1,000 to £25,000, depending on size, set up and situation. The cover runs up until August-end (2021). Be aware that you must be able to prove your turnover reduction of 60%+ (using same timeline in 2019 or an equivalent comparison).

How to apply?

The grant eligibility checker will open on the Business Wales website on 5 July 2021 for this fund. The fund will open to applications on Tuesday 13 July 2021 and is set to close Friday 23 July 2021.
