LHP Donates to At-Home Learning in Lockdown

LHP Donates Money to West Wales Councils for At-Home Learning During The Latest Lockdown

At LHP Chartered Accountants, a leading Cloud Accountancy firm in Wales, we understand the challenges presented by at-home learning during the Covid-19 Wales lockdown. Our firm is for this reason, pledging £10,000 towards IT equipment, earmarked for children across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, to help facilitate online learning.

With COVID-19 surging, pupils in Wales are now not expected to return to classrooms until after the February mid-term break. Many children lack the equipment needed to work from home, such as laptops, and are being left behind.

LHP MD, Matthew Williamssaid;

As the country is home schooling at the moment, including 3 of my own, I have become acutely aware of the challenges families face.

Not only are many struggling with their education, but this is being made worse where unfortunately some do not have the resources, Internet or IT equipment to help them.

As a firm of accountants, we are seeing an increasing drive to a more digital business platform. These children are missing out, not only on their education, but also on IT skills, that will be paramount for their future careers. I hope our donation will be able to help and support those children, towards a better future.

LHP Accountants has offices across South West Wales, employing a team of nearly 70, many of whom with children at home, who know only too well, the daily importance of strong IT skills. The firm works with thousands of businesses in the region to get them digital. From providing software automation, to running virtual finance teams. LHP wishes to help children in West Wales, by providing IT equipment for digital remote learning.
