Elin, Our New Farming Pod Leader!

Having grown up on a family farm in Carmarthenshire Elin Childs has first-hand experience of the agriculture sector.

Our support at LHP on farming matters is ever-growing and our newest update to share is that we now have a new Farming Pod Leader here at LHP. Elin will lead our dedicated in-house team for farming support across South and West Wales.

Elin Childs is ACA qualified and started training with us as an accountant 5 years ago. She grew up on a local farm and it was always her passion to work within the agriculture sector.

‘Having grown up on a family farm in Carmarthenshire, I have first-hand experience of working within the farming sector.

My experience of the agricultural industry, is predominately focused on the preparation of agricultural accounts, but at LHP we are more than just accountants, our team advises on all aspects of farming business and finance, including help sourcing grants, farming matters in the local area and management approaches.

I am a Welsh speaker which is really important to most of our farming clients here.

I work with farming clients on a range of accounting software, such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and additional add-on software which helps our clients develop their business. For example, we can help with add-on software that creates benchmarking reports, giving insights that allow for fast decision-making, to help grow a business.

I am looking forward to the new challenge of leading the farming pod, working alongside Ann, Barry and William in our Carmarthen HQ.’
