What does your role at LHP involve?
Managing payroll can be time consuming, complicated and expensive for clients and that’s where we step in. I lead our busy team in Carmarthen, alongside Nerys and Teleri.
Between us we manage client payrolls, RTI and pensions, with 550 payroll clients running 51,000 payslips a year. I process payroll, manage CIS submissions, set up clients and give advice. It’s an affordable service that frees up time. We’re an approachable, friendly team.
Your favourite part of payroll?
My favourite part of payroll is providing advice on maternity, paternity, and sickness. Doing the different calculations and advising clients on the maternity and paternity reclaim. We offer a professional service to clients here at LHP, no matter what size the business, we work as a team, always available at the end of an email or phone for your payroll needs.
Helping clients is what gives me job satisfaction. Outsourcing payroll allows clients peace of mind to focus on running their businesses rather than spending hours each month sorting out payroll paperwork. We’re a dedicated in-house team so we have excellent cover! We use all the cutting edge payroll technology BrightPay, and Modulr which provides our clients with payroll automation and a simple streamlined service.
What did you do before joining LHP?
I spent 15 years working in Higher Ed Payroll at University of South Wales. I gained CIPP qualifications and then landed a permanent role in 2018 where I worked until employment here at LHP. Prior to the University sector, I worked for Heritage Lottery Fund and financial sector firms. Alongside my CIPP qualification I’ve a Business Studies degree.

My favourite TV programme is Pobol Y Cwm, I haven’t missed an episode in 20 years!
