Meet Payroll – Nerys Evans
As the nation celebrates the most important work function (paying staff!) during National Payroll Week we give kudos to our team who work hard to process 51,000 payslips a year, using latest cloud apps BrightPay and Modulr Finance and dealing with all payroll, RTI and pension matters.
Your role in LHP Payroll
As payroll assistant, I handle around 150 payrolls and CIS processes every month, dealing with queries from HMRC, pension providers and clients and processing payrolls.
I’ve been doing payroll for nearly 2 decades. My last role started out as a work placement for a firm of accountants in Carmarthen where I ended up staying on for 10 years! I did my AAT accountancy and finance qualifications there and worked my way up to office manager. I left for a career break to start a new family.
While bringing up my 2 boys I kept my hand in – freelance bookkeeping and volunteering for a local charity. When my eldest went to secondary and my youngest was 7 I spotted this role and the rest is history.
Favourite part of payroll
We provide a professional service to clients here at LHP, no matter what size the business is we work as a team, always available at the end of an email or phone for your payroll needs. Helping clients is what gives me job satisfaction. Outsourcing payroll allows clients peace of mind to focus on running their businesses rather than spending hours each month sorting out the payroll paperwork.
