The Cultural Recovery Fund has now been extended, with an extra £30m earmarked for Wales’ Culture sector. Applications are open 1-20 April, and cover April to September-end 2021.

Welsh Government’s Coronavirus Control Plan 2021, expects to see continued closures and restrictions impacting Wales’ Culture sector.

This second phase of funding, aims to protect sustainable organisations and jobs, to ensure the sector survives and remains vibrant, viable and sustainable.

The Culture sector includes theatres, music venues, recording/rehearsal spaces, heritage attractions, heritage organisations, museums, libraries, galleries, archives, independent cinemas, comedy venues and events.

Support will be managed by the Arts Council of Wales. Funding for freelancers will open early May and are to be delivered by local authorities.
