LHP Agriculture Director
Eirian Humphreys is Agriculture Director at LHP, based at their HQ in Carmarthen. Having worked on his family farm for a number of years, Eirian decided on a change of career in 2000, and joined a local accountancy practice. Over the following five years Eirian worked in Carmarthen and Swansea, during which time he studied to become a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which he successfully completed in 2005, and then later became a fellow (FCCA).
Having then returned to Carmarthenshire, he worked in Ammanford before taking over an accountancy practice in Carmarthen in May 2008, which he then developed and expanded over the following fifteen months. In August 2009, Eirian joined LHP as a partner, where he was able to use his substantial agricultural knowledge, to assist the client base. Eirian added to his ACCA qualification in 2010 by gaining Chartered Accountant status (ACA) and then in 2020, fellow membership (FCA).
Eirian’s agricultural background and extensive experience gained in accountancy, has given him an in-depth knowledge of a variety of businesses, including:
Eirian speaks Welsh fluently and strongly believes in providing a personal service to each of his clients.
Eirian lives in Llangain with his partner Bet. His interests include rugby, DIY and gardening and he spends a lot of his weekend time at his favourite seaside town, Aberaeron.
LHP Director
Janet Collins is a director at LHP based at their HQ in Carmarthen. Janet started her accountancy career in a Llandovery accountancy practice in 1984, before moving to a larger Swansea accountancy firm, to gain more experience. While in Swansea, she continued her accountancy training. She joined LHP in 2008 as a fully qualified certified accountant. With over 30 years’ experience in the profession, Janet has gained invaluable knowledge in:
Janet deals a lot with care homes, consultancy companies, retail traders and the construction industry. She is active is various West Wales women’s networking events – a niche area for her.
Janet is an expert in demystifying Cloud accounting and can act as finance director, bookkeeper or advisor. Helping small businesses take control of their finances.
Janet likes to know all about her clients! How they operate. Why they started. And what their goals and objectives are. And they’re welcome to know the same about her. Janet believes, if you ‘get’ each other, then clients get the best advice and are confident all financial areas of their business are taken care of – not just accounts or tax returns.
Janet enjoys regular contact with clients to ensure the personal touch is maintained and is a fluent Welsh speaker, which is useful, as many of her clients are too.
Janet is married with two children and in her free time, she enjoys motorsport, reading , eating out and spending time with her family and dogs. Janet was also a past Councillor on the Llandybie Community Council and was their Chairperson in 2017/18.

Dafydd Rees is a director at LHP, based at their HQ in Carmarthen. Dafydd is a qualified accountant and fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Dafydd has over 20 years’ experience in the accountancy and audit sectors.
Throughout his career, he has gained a wealth of expertise and experience working with a wide range of clients, from sole traders and family-run businesses, to large companies and charities.

Dafydd is a fluent welsh speaker and in his spare time he enjoys following The Scarlets and Welsh Rugby Union teams, and spending time with his family.

Rhys Jones is a Director at LHP and Practice Manager of LHP Lampeter and Aberaeron.
Rhys attended Cardiff University, obtaining a degree in Accounting in 2003 and a Masters degree in Finance in 2004. Rhys then joined a regional accountancy firm in Cardiff and went to on qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant. Rhys gained his post-qualification experience with a national firm in South Wales. There he carried out various assignments – for both owner-managed businesses and Not-For-Profits, focusing in the main on auditing services.
Rhys is a fluent Welsh speaker and in 2013 he decided to return to his West Wales roots and join LHP. Rhys enjoys all kinds of sport, including running and squash and is a keen follower of The Scarlets and Wales Rugby.
Director
Rachael Ball is a qualified Chartered Accountant and LHP Director based across our offices. As a specialist within the tax team, Rachael works on corporate and personal taxes with a wide range of clients being a single point of contact for all tax queries.
Rachael has brought a wealth of experience with her from previous role at a Top 10 National Accountancy Firm serving the South Wales marketplace and working across a diverse range of business sectors.
Rachael is passionate about building long-term relationships with clients, providing proactive business advice to assist with making an informed decision on the way ahead. Rachael advises on a wide range of matters including specialist tax issues, with her wealth of knowledge in:
Rachael lives near Pembroke and when she’s not advising clients she enjoys being outdoors spending time on our fantastic coastline, either walking or paddle boarding. She also enjoys cycling having taken part in many charity bike rides for Tŷ Hafan, including riding from Cardiff to Dublin in time for The 6 Nations fixture.

LHP Associate
Samantha Hart is a chartered LHP Associate based in our Carmarthen branch. Her work is heavily involved in managing the impact of the Making Tax Digital HMRC initiative here at LHP.
Sam joined LHP in 2010, gained her ACCA qualification and then progressed to FCCA chartered status, specialising in cloud accounts, helping businesses improve how they run their finance departments and helping train clients.
In her time here at LHP she has gained valuable knowledge in accounts preparation, cloud accounting systems and online apps for cloud accounting systems across many sectors. When not working, Sam enjoys long walks with the dog, 4×4 off-roading with her father and sister and family days out.
Cross Hands Practice Manager
Mathew Price is our Practice Manager based in our CrossHands branch.
Mathew attended Aberystwyth University, obtaining a First Class (Hons) degree in Accountancy and Finance in 2013. I then joined a Swansea based practice obtaining his ACCA qualification in 2017 and later joined LHP in 2019.
Over the course of my career Mathew has gained a wealth of knowledge and he predominantly works with larger limited companies, corporate audits and share restructuring arrangements. Mathew is a fluent Welsh speaker and in his spare time enjoy keeping active and reading.
Practise Manager
Lisa Davies is one of our Practice Managers based in our Haverfordwest branch.
Lisa a part of the Accounts and Tax department.
On a day to day basis Lisa processes VAT returns, tax returns & deals with clients accounts as well as helping clients with QuickBooks, Xero and tax queries.
Lisa is a fluent Welsh speaker and does a variety of accounts from farmers to sole-trader to limited companies.

LHP Senior Agri Pod Leader
I’m Elin, a Senior Accountant (Senior Agri Pod Leader) managing the Agriculture team at LHP’s Carmarthen office. I joined LHP in 2016 and gained my ACA qualification in 2019. I mainly work within the agricultural sector, preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. I’m responsible for the preparation of accounts and have experience in VAT, bookkeeping and helping clients move to digital accounting software to comply with Making Tax Digital requirements. I am also certified in Xero, QuickBooks and Freeagent software. As a fluent Welsh speaker, I enjoy my time as a Carmarthenshire YFC Member and helping out on the family farm when I’m not working.

Hi, my name is Barry. I am a senior accountant in the Carmarthen Office and have worked for LHP for over 35 years. I specialise in farming accounts. As a Welsh speaker I also come from a farming background. I am Xero and QuickBooks certified and ready for the challenges ahead with Making Tax Digital. My interests include walking our 2 adorable frenchies, photography and I am a keen Wrexham football supporter.
LHP VAT Accountant
Hi, I’m Ken, a VAT Accountant at LHP Carmarthen and have worked here for 4 years now. The role involves anything and everything VAT, imports, exports, foreign VAT registrations, vehicle NOVA declarations, Property Option to Tax, DIY Claims, CIS VAT Reverse Charging, and of course the normal registration/deregistration/VAT return preparations.
I’m an ex HMRC VAT inspector of 15 years and have a BSc in Maths from the OU and a BSc in Business Management from Trinity University of Wales. I enjoy walking the dog, Motocross, cycling (MTB) and playing guitar in my spare time.
Senior Accountant
Katie Morgan is a Senior Accountant based in our HQ in Carmarthen.
After leaving school Katie started her career as an apprentice with a local accountancy practice where while working, she first gained her AAT qualification before going on to pass her ACCA exams and become a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2011. Katie firmly believes that ‘on the job’ training is a fantastic route to take in the accounting sector as you gain a wealth of knowledge and experience.
After working in practice for 12 years Katie sought out a new challenge and began working in a Local Authority as a Principal Accountant. Despite a steep learning curve moving to monitoring public sector funding, she thoroughly enjoyed the new experience. After 5 years in the Local Authority, Katie has returned to her passion of working within practice here at LHP and is excited to meet new clients.
Katie has historically focused mainly on Auditing Limited Companies, Solicitors and Charities, and Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole traders, and Partnerships. She enjoys building strong relationships with clients and is passionate about learning about the businesses behind the figures!
Katie’s spare time is mainly spent with her family – her two sons James and Mabon, and her partner Osian, who like to spend as much time outdoors as they can. She also enjoys horse riding once a week, which is her precious time away from being mummy during the rest of the week!

Hello, I’m Megan and I am a trainee accountant currently working towards my ACCA qualification based at LHP Lampeter. I work on accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Charities and my day-to-day is mostly preparing accounts, tax returns and processing VAT returns. I am also certified in Xero and QuickBooks. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and in my spare time I enjoy attending YFC, walking my dog and watching films.

Hi, I’m Geraint. I work at LHP Lampeter. I’ve worked in the Lampeter office for over 15 years. I mainly work on Farm Accounts but also on Accounts for various businesses. I’ve experience in preparing VAT Returns, Accounts and Tax Returns and I’m certified in Xero and QuickBooks. I’m a graduate in Business and Accounting from University of Glamorgan, a fluent Welsh speaker and when I’m not working, I enjoy a round of golf and taking my dog on walks.

Hi my name is Tracy and I work in LHP Lampeter. I have been working in accountancy for the past 11 years and have been with LHP for 4 years. I mostly prepare accounts for farming partnerships and sole traders but have experience in preparing accounts for a variety of other businesses. I’m experienced in VAT returns and training clients to use cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Dext. I have a BSc (hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Swansea University and worked for South Wales accountancy firms for 15 years now. While working I became ACCA part qualified before joining KRC Chartered Accountants (now known as LHP) in 2013 as a Senior Manager.

Tax Manager
Hi, I’m Terri Hatfield and I work at LHP Aberaeron. I’ve worked in the Aberaeron office on North Road for 30 years and specialise in Tax. Prior to this I worked in both big corporates and smaller independents.
As the Aberaeron Tax Manager my job is to manage client tax returns, tax advisory work, personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and corporation tax.
Outside of work I am a strong happy Christian, I practice long distance running including some ultramarathons and love eating cake!
Accounts Clerk
Hi, I’m Paul Edwards an Accounts Clerk here at LHP Aberaeron. I’ve been at this practice for around 6 years and have a background working in banking and finance with both HSBC and NatWest. I am originally from Aberystwyth, lived in Pembrokeshire for over 25 years before moving back to Ceredigion in 2014.
When I’m not working, I enjoy running and walking and as a teenager represented West Wales at cross country .
