New VAT Deferral Payment Scheme

Businesses that have deferred their VAT payments until the end of March 2021 need to login to their Government Gateway to decide how to pay it and whether to pay in instalments.

The VAT deferral new payment scheme which opened today lets you pay deferred VAT payments due, in interest-free instalments. The earlier you join, the more months you can spread your payments across (from 2-11).

Steps you must take now after logging into your Government Gateway account is ensuring you are up to date with VAT returns, deciding how to spread the costs, plus paying the first instalment when you join.
